My doctor is awesome but the receptionists and billing is terrible. She felt it necessary to withhold me from seeing my doctor until we discussed my bill because it was so high. She said this in front of several other patients in line. It was $140. It turns out they never billed my insurance! According to billing, she bills insurance and verifies it as a courtesy. Its not her job.
We were in the area on vacation, doing lots of swimming. My son complained of his ear hurting for a few days. Finally decided to take him to see a doctor. We saw Dr. Michaela Coffia at Crystal Lake Health Center which was nearby where we were staying. When she walked into the room she asked what we were there for and I replied "an ear infection". She gave me a sour look and said, "you mean ear pain." She looked into my son's ear and said that there was some water and sand, but no infection. She told us to use a blow dryer to dry the ear out and give him tylenol for the pain. We left and my son's ear continued to hurt for the rest of vacation. We took him to our own doctor at home as soon as we returned and sure enough, he had an ear infection. I certainly do not enjoying paying for medical bills that waste my time and money. Do not waste yours with her. I do NOT recommend.
